Introducing the VPC Bare Bones

Due to constant demand (nagging, hounding, etc.) from our customers we are offering the VPC-2000 in a bare bones configuration.

What Is It? 

It is the chassis, power supply and motherboard of the VPC-2000, an industrial 12 volt P.C. This does not compare to consumer products like the Q-PC or Clarion AutoPC. This was designed by industrial engineers and use by the Rosemont, Illinois Police Department and other Government agencies. It is also an integral component of the SmartTruck program funded by the U.S. Government.

Why are We Selling Barebone?

While we sell complete systems integrated and tested for up to $5000 into niche markets this volume does not allow us to drive down the cost of components to sell more quantity in consumer and hobby markets. Also since this is a bare bones system the support costs are lower. Support from Earth is limited to the power supply. Support for the motherboard is available from the Intel web site.

What does it Include?

An assembled chassis with an installed VPC power supply and Intel 815EAA motherboard.

What is Warranty and Support?

What Monitors Work with It?

Any monitor that will run off 12 volts dc including the low cost 12.1" TFT EVUE-12
