OVERVIEW

The picL is a PIC16F877 microcontroller based development board with a 240 x 64 Graphical that comes programmed to be used as a serial RS-232 LCD. It can either be used as a display on a PC or microcontroller project controlled thru RS-232 or reprogrammed using Microchip MPLAB  5.xx  (FREE) (5.xx) or CCS "Picc" C compiler to be a stand alone embedded system for 100's of different applications. This is the lowest cost development system for microcontrollers using a graphical LCD. The PicL requires no programmer because it's preprogrammed with a Flash boot loader allowing it to be reprogrammed off your PC!

FAQ

Q. The LCD documentation mentions both a Blue-Green and a White
backlight option. Which colour backlight do the units you are selling
have?

A. blue green

Q. The programming documents provided with the source code are pretty
sparse, are there any more docs for the supplied software?

A. no put search net for t6963 controller and you'll find some stuff

Q. 4. What are the dimensions for the PCB?

A. The same size

Q. What kind of stock do you have for this item? Are they
surplus/limited-quantity? or are they manufactured to demand? Also, at
what point do you start offering quantity discounts?

A. the lcd 20k, the board is ours built to demand

Q. I know that the I2C protocol is a superset of SMBus functionality, so
I was wondering if the I2C functionality of the controller has any known
problems interacting with SMBus?

A. not known it is done in pic code software not hardware
