| NEMA | NEMA Type 4 enclosures are constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against incidental contact with the enclosed equipment; to provide a degree of protection against calling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, and hose-directed water; and will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure. | EarthLCD is capable of manufacturing NEMA Type 4 monitor enclosures as a special order item. | NFI | Near Field Imaging is a 3M touch solution for applications that require extreme durability in harsh environments. Near Field Imaging projected capacitive technology is accurate enough to control equipment precisely, yet sensitive enough to detect finger touches through gloves. Ideally suited for harsh environments, Near Field Imaging touch screens withstand high pressure washdowns common in industrial or automotive manufacturing and are unaffected by most surface contaminants found in factory automation, utilities and mining environments. Made of strengthened glass and a laminated construction with no mechanically sensitive components, Near Field Imaging can withstand significant vibration and shock in extreme environments. | EarthLCD offers NFI as a special order items in the 12.1" and 14.1" LCD monitor. The durability of NFI is advantageous in any type of man-machine interface such as kiosk, point of sale or manufacturing, where harsh environment conditions are prevalent. | Polarizer Index Matching | Reflection occurs whenever there is a mismatch of the index of refraction of interfacing surfaces, which causes ambient light to bounce off a display, lowering contrast. On the face of an LCD, the amount of reflected light is greatly reduced by matching the index of refraction of all interfacing layers. The top surface coating of the LCD is index matched to air and the internal surfaces are index matched one to the other. Index matched surfaces allow light to pass through, reducing washout and surface reflection. | Earth can index match any LCD of any type. | Custom Silk Screening | Although there is no minimum purchase requirement for silk screening, there are one time set up costs. | LongVue | LongVue is a great solution for applications where the monitor must be located in a specific area, but the computer source is in an entirely different on site location. Special Order Items Terms and
Conditions Special order items are subject to an NRE (non-reoccurring engineering costs) and deposit or prepayment and are non-refundable. At the time the custom order is placed, a first article will be issued, and based on approval the balance of your order will be processed.
