FAQ

Q: Can I buy a BBPC-12 complete with the motherboard and all the components (I just won't have the time to do it myself.)?

A. The BBPC-12 is sold standard as a "bare bones" unit without motherboard and components. However if you want a complete unit as it is pictured in the sample photograph, please complete a request for custom quote form and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.

Q. What kind of motherboard is compatible with the mini-ITX form factor?

A. The VIA M10000 is one of them, there are many other manufacturers as well. Here is a great link for learning more about the standard: http://www.mini-itx.com

Q. Why a mini-ITX motherboard?

A. Mini-ITX is a standard form factor that originated from VIA. The specification requires that the boards are 170mm x 170mm (6.75" x 6.75").  They are super-small and super quiet.

VIA Mini-ITX motherboards have a processor soldered to the board and a rich supporting chipset providing networking, graphics and sound. This means that by adding just some memory, a hard drive and a power supply, you have a full computer.
